February 11, 2026 Report

We are pleased to share the latest updates from our recent construction meeting regarding the new education building and foyer. Here is where we stand on the project details and what to expect next.

Permitting & Approvals We are currently in the final stages of the review process. We expect to receive the third-party review information shortly, which will immediately be submitted to the city to finalize our building permit.

Design & Materials

Brick Selection: We are working closely with the vendor to ensure the new building blends seamlessly with our existing structures. The “Red brick sample (MB-2)” is a close match, and we are refining the other two brick colors to get it just right.
Interior Finishes: Samples for the flooring and quartz countertops have been received and are currently being reviewed.

Landscaping: The landscape contractor is preparing options for the design committee to review, ensuring the grounds look as good as the new building.

Site Updates & Adjustments

Building Location: To avoid interfering with existing plumbing and electrical lines, we are looking at shifting the building’s footprint slightly. The plan is to move the location 3–4 feet South, which will allow us to keep the door and awning locations aligned with the current layout.

Utility Repair: During site investigation on February 9, a water line was accidentally hit. PCG acted immediately to manage the repair; plumbers were on-site, and the water was successfully tested and turned back on by the afternoon of February 10.

Next Steps

Security & Access: We are coordinating with our door supplier to finalize hardware and create a master key schedule for the new facilities.

Elevator: We are currently researching the best options for the required elevator emergency phone line (hardline vs. cellular).
